Factholic - Where a Claim Actually Came From

1st place at the BEST Minds hackathon - built in 24 hours with a team of 3. Not "true or false", but where a claim came from: paste a video, post or link and Factholic finds every publication of the claim, shows the original source and who copied whom.

The provenance tree traces a claim from the earliest publication to the checked text. A direct link is a solid edge, a text match is marked as "probably taken from here". Every step shows what changed along the way: numbers, place, time - and flags old news passed off as fresh.

Sides, not a verdict: how many independent sources support, dispute or partly agree. Five reprints of the same story count as one vote. For YouTube there's a custom player with claims marked on the timeline and a breakdown that follows the video.

Under the hood: a staged pipeline - ingest (yt-dlp, articles), transcription (subtitles, Whisper, OCR), claim extraction, source search in RO/RU/EN, provenance tree, mutation and date checks - streaming results to the UI over WebSocket.

Spott - A Spotlight in the Maze of Bureaucracy

Hackathon project: a smart municipal assistant for Chișinău that answers questions in RO/RU/EN strictly based on official documents – with inline citations and links to the source.

A crawler indexes 42 public municipal websites. Docling and Tesseract OCR parse PDFs and scans into text, which is chunked, embedded, and stored in Postgres with pgvector. When a user asks a question, relevant fragments are retrieved, numbered, and sent to the LLM.

Every claim in the answer is tied to a real citation from the document. Sentences without supporting evidence are discarded; if numbers in a sentence don't match the citation, it's flagged as unverified. Citations are pulled from the index, not generated by the model.

Stack: Python 3.14, FastAPI with SSE streaming, Next.js frontend, Postgres 17 + pgvector, Docker, Caddy for HTTPS.

Shopify Catalog Import Tool - Supplier Price List to AI Listings

Tool used by a Shopify store operator to import a supplier's catalog. Upload the supplier's Excel price list and the store's Shopify export - it matches products by SKU and shows what's new, already in the store or needs review.

For each new product it pulls data from the supplier's website and builds a full Shopify listing with AI: title, Hebrew description, photos, category and price. Price mismatches between the price list and the website are flagged.

The operator approves each card and exports a Shopify-ready CSV. Used on a real 1,399-item price list.

AI Product Listing App for Shopify - Supplier Data to Ready Listings

Embedded Shopify app that turns a list of SKUs into ready product listings. It finds product data on the supplier's website and fills in title, description, images and variants, and suggests the right Shopify category.

The store operator reviews products one by one in a queue: Approve, Decline or Revise. To fix a field, select it and tell the AI in chat what's wrong. Past sessions are saved in chat history.

Built for a real store's catalog. In active development.

ScalebyPin - SaaS Landing Page & Backend

Built the full product for ScalebyPin - an AI-powered Pinterest automation SaaS for e-commerce sellers.

Designed and developed the landing page from scratch in Next.js, including layout, animations, and responsive UI. Built the backend for a Private Beta waitlist system with a database collecting early access signups. Also worked on the core product - a system that takes a marketplace product URL (Etsy, Shopify, Amazon), analyzes it, and auto-generates Pinterest content for scheduling.

Handled everything end-to-end: design, frontend, backend, and DB.
